Rnd 1: Ch 40; making sure not to twist starting chain
sc in first ch, sc in each ch around; place marker. (40 sts)
Rnd 2-20: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 21: sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 16 sts, (sc next 2
sts together) twice, sc in next 16 sts, sc last 2 sts together;
place marker. (36 sts)
Rnd 22: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 23: sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 14 sts, (sc next 2
sts together) twice, sc in next 14 sts, sc last 2 sts together;
place marker. (32 sts)
Rnd 24: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 25: sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 12 sts, (sc next 2
sts together) twice, sc in next 12 sts, sc last 2 sts together;
place marker. (28 sts)
Rnd 26: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 27: sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 10 sts, (sc next 2
sts together) twice, sc in next 10 sts, sc last 2 sts together;
place marker. (24 sts)
Rnd 28: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 29: sc first 2 sts together, sc in next 8 sts, (sc next 2
sts together) twice, sc in next 8 sts, sc last 2 sts together;
place marker. (20 sts)
Rnd 30: sc in each st around; join with sl st to first st; fasten off.
Holding mitt flat sl st in each st across rnd 30 making sure to work
through sts on both sides of mitt; fasten off.

Attach CC with sl st to unworked loop on Rnd 1; sc in each st around;
join with sl st to first st; fasten off.

Attach CC with sl st to plastic ring; work 15 sc around ring; join with
sl st in first st. DO NOT FASTEN OFF. Join worked ring with sl st to
side edge of mitt; sl st in each st around; join with sl st to first st;
fasten off.

Weave in all ends using tapestry needle.
