Instructions for "Faux" Picot Candy Cane Cover:

Materials:
Small amount of size 10 thread
1.5 mm hook Conversion Chart

Abbreviations:
Sc: single crochet
Tr: Triple (treble) crochet
Sl: sl
St(s): stitch(es)
Ch: Chain
Sp: space

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sl: slip
st: stitch
dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
RS: right side
WS: wrong side

Instructions:
For 7.5" candy cane:

Ch 81; tr in 5th ch from hook (counts as first tr); tr in next st,
ch 2, skip 2 ch, *(tr in next 2 sts, ch 2, skip 2 ch) repeat from
* across to last 2 chs; tr in last 2 chs.



Using Fig 1 as a guide we will be working in direction of red arrows.
Work 3 sc in side of last tr (shown in fig 1 as point A to point B);
work sc in other end of tr; work sc in each st and work 2 sc in each
ch-2 sp across ending with sc in top of each of last 2 tr on this side



Using Fig 2 as a guide ch 5,(we will now be working on other side)
sc in top of first tr on other side, ch 8, sc between next 2 tr;
ch 10, skip next ch-2 sp, skip next 2 tr, skip next ch-2 sp, sc
between next 2 tr; repeat from * more 7 times; join with sl st to
next st; ch 1 turn.

Work (sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc) in first ch-10 sp;
sl st in next st; work *(sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc)
in next ch-10 sp; sl st in next st repeat from * across to ch-8 sp;
work (sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc, tr, sc) in ch-8 sp; sl st in next
st; work (sc, tr, sc ,tr, sc, tr, sc) in last ch-5 sp; join with sl
st to first st; fasten off.

Weave in ends.

Weave candy cane through ch-2 spaces of center section.
