Materials:
bedspread weight cotton (white) (1.5 balls - Each ball is 400 yds (366 m))
hook: 1.40mm
tapestry needle for sewing
dowels: (2) 15.5" long.
material: a piece of material suitable for backing of wallhanging. (Designer used green)
decorative cording for hanger approx. 18.5" long

Abbreviations:
ch: chain
sl: slip
st: stitch
dc: double crochet
sc: single crochet
RS: right side
WS: wrong side
sm: solid mesh
om: open mesh

Each square with "X" = 1 sm (solid mesh) = 3dc
Each empty square = 1 om(open mesh) = dc, ch 1, dc

Pattern:
NOTES: Row 1 indicated on graph.
Make sure to work all right side rows from right to left and
all wrong side rows from left to right.

Row 1: Ch 93, dc in 4th chain from hook; dc in each st across. Ch 3
(counts as first dc of next row), turn.Mark this row as RS row.

Row 2- 69: Follow graph as indicated making sure to work [ch 3
(counts as first dc in next row), turn ] at end of each row.

Row 70: Dc in each st across. Fasten off.

Dowel Pockets:
With RS facing attach thread with sl st in first dc of row 80.
Work 4 rows of open meshes. Fasten off.
Repeat on other end. Fasten off.

Fold dowel pocket rows to back of work and sew into position.
Repeat for other end.

Wash and block into shape.

Backing:
Cut material to fit filet piece making sure to leave an extra
1/4 " on all sides. ( to make hem edge)
Iron and Baste a 1/4" hem around all sides of material.

Pin to back of filet piece and sew into position.

Place dowels into dowel pockets.

Cut decorative cord to desired length and attach to upper dowel.
