Instructions for Round Heart Dishcloth:

Materials for dishcloth:
Worsted weight cotton:
1 ball (50 gr. ball) white
½ ball (50 gr. ball) red
hook: 5.5 mm (or size needed to achieve gauge) Conversion chart

Gauge: 5 sts = 2”

Size: 10”

Special Stitches:



Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Rnd: round
Sc: single crochet
Sl: slip
Dc: double crochet
FLO: Front loop only
BLO: back loop only
St: stitch

Instructions:
Heart:
Rnd 1: Using red ch 4 ; join with sl st to form a ring; work 8 sc in ring; join with sl st to first st. (mark as RS)
Rnd 2: Using FLO for this rnd ch 3 (counts as first dc), work 2 more dc in same st as joining; work 3 dc each st to last st; work 2 dc in last st , ch 3 (counts as last dc); sl st same st as first ch was made; fasten off. (24 sts)

Rnd 3: With RS of heart facing you and using BLO left from between rnd 1 and 2 attach white with sl st in any st; ch 1, work 3 sc in each st around; do not join rnd; place marker to mark end of rnd. (24 sc)
Rnd 4: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next st; *2 sc in next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around; place marker. (32 sc)
Rnd 5: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts; repeat from * around; place marker. (40 sc)
Rnd 6: sc in each st around; place marker.
Rnd 7: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 3 sts; repeat from * around; place marker. (48 sc)
Rnd 8: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 4 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 4 sts; repeat from * around; place marker. (56 sc)
Rnd 9: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 5 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 5 sts; repeat from * around; join with sl st to first st; fasten off. (64 sc)
Rnd 10: attach red with sl st in any st of rnd 10; ch 1, work sc in each st around; join with sl st to top of first st; fasten off.
Rnd 11: attach white with sl st in any st of rnd 10; ch 1, work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 6 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 6 sts; repeat from * around; do not join; place marker to mark end of rnd. (72 sc)
Rnd 12: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 7 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 7 sts; repeat from * around; do not join; place marker to mark end of rnd. (80 sc)
Rnd 13: work 2 sc in first st, sc in next 8 sts; *2 sc in next st, sc in next 8 sts; repeat from * around; do not join; place marker to mark end of rnd. (88 sc)
Rnd 14: sc in each st around; join with sl st to top of first st; using FLO sl st in each st around; join with sl st to top of first st; fasten off.
Rnd 15: attach red with sl st in any st of rnd 15; ch 1, work sc in each st around; join with sl st to top
of first st; using both loops sl st in each st around; join with sl st to top of first st; fasten off.

Weave in all ends.
