Materials:
Small amount of size 10 thread (white)
Hook: 1.5 mm Conversion chart
Sewing needle for weaving in ends.
Abbreviations:
Ch: chain
Sc: single crochet
Dc: double crochet
St(s): stitch(es)
Sl: slip
Sp: space
RS: right side
WS: wrong side
Each open square is dc, ch1, dc
Each solid square is 3 dc
Gauge: Just be consistant
Instructions:
Row 1:(RS) ch 25. Dc in 4th ch from hook; dc in each ch across; ch 3 (counts as first dc of next row), turn.
Row 2- 22: Follow chart (fig 1) making sure to work RS rows from right
to left and WS rows from left to right. Make sure you ch 3 at end
of each row except last row. This ch 3 counts as the first dc of the next row.
Each open square is dc, ch1, dc
Each solid square is 3 dc

Edging:
Using Fig 2 as a guide attach thread with sl st in first st of side
AB. Work 3 sc in same st as joining; work sc in remaining sts of
side AB to last st; work 3 sc in last st; work 2 sc in side of each dc
down side BC; work 3 sc in first st of side CD; sc in each st across to
last st on this side and work 3 sc in last st; work 2 sc in side of
each dc up last side (DA) of bookmark; join with sl st to first st;
Sl st in each st around. Fasten off.
FIG 2:
Heart:
With white threasd and 1.5 mm hook ch 4; join with sl st to first ch to form a ring;
ch 3(counts as first dc); work 14 more dc into ring; ch 3(counts as last dc); join with sl st
to ring.ch 20; attach top of ch 20 to middle part of side CD.
Wash and block.
